I have family and friends throughout most of the affected regions, and a husband who has to travel into the New South Wales boarder as of today. As things calm down here (the Gold Coast has copped it too) on the home front after a wild couple of days I'm working like a crazy women to get things organised here. We are facing some major changes to routine this week. Master V starts kindy tomorrow (he has previously spent time in Family Day Care) but he is now enrolled in a pre-prep program for the next year. He is an extremely extroverted child and is chomping at the bit to get to it. He doesn't quite realise that he will be away from me five days a fortnight during the day. I think it's going to be a shock to the system for everyone to be honest.
Yep this crazy character if off into the big world tomorrow. His teachers really should watch out.
Other changes on the horizon this week, see us having Little V's day care mum be wonderful and adjust her only day in care, which will allow me to have one day a week to myself for the first time two years. This fact is one thing I have been hanging on to really get my year started and my teeth into business plans and blogging matters. A whole day (well mostly the whole day) of unadulterated time to myself......goodness let me savour the thought for moment.
So please if you will indulge me this week, I'm going to be a wee bit off schedule and all over the place. In fact I don't think there will be a style post this week, because today is our first sunny day since the wild weather and I have mountains of laundry to get through since this crazy weather.
I've got to get to it the washing machine just stopped, another load out, another load in.

How horrible has this weather been? Glad to know you and your family is okay. Thankfully all of mine is as well :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the adjustments this week, and I look forward to seeing what new endeavors your day for yourself will bring! xx
Good luck with the upcoming changes. I'm sure you and the little V's will pass through with flying colours.
ReplyDeleteGood luck and stay safe! x
ReplyDeleteGoodness, the weather sounds crazy.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your boy will be fine at kindy, he sounds more than ready to get out there and take the world by storm! Good luck with the changes to your routine - nothing stays the same with young kids, and sometimes that is a really good thing (if it means more time for you!) xxxx
